You could almost believe that was a real person standing there.

A couple of months ago I finally visited the ever so charming Charles Dickens Museum in Broadstairs. It is an absolute delight.

The museum is housed in the cottage that was Charles Dickens’ inspiration for the home of Betsy Trotwood in David Copperfield. David’s description of Betsy’s cottage with its square gravelled garden full of flowers, and a parlour of old fashioned furniture still fits today.
